      Nasty space weather makes listening challenging this last week. The SWL fest is looking for this years forum speakers.
Pirates in the news this week consists of Pirate radio station operators protest outside NCC in Taiwan.

Back from Vacation! So this week is a bit of catch up. Pirates in the news include a mention on Glen Hausers program World of Radio about the Brother Stairs parody number station. A notice of apparent liability from the FCC to an ebay seller of non certified HF radios from T.W.I.A.R.  Janice and Steve Karlock talks about listening to HF pirates on their show the International radio Report.
  We go though a few posts on the Free Radio Network, and one on Radio Pirates, as well as the pirates stations logged per the Free Radio Weekly.

Sevral Pirates in the news. The Broward Sheriff's Office on Thursday shut down a private radio station in Sunrise FL. Radio station 96.1 Tha Zone was visited by the Federal Communications Commission on Friday. See the VIDEO . East Chicago, Ind., radio station broadcasting uncensored gangsta rap music on 90.5 FM Xtreme Fm was targeted by Ofcom and police in a raid.

Just one pirate in the news. From free103point9 Newsroom. The FCC announced today that it moved a "Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture" to a "Forfeiture Order" against Shawn Deroux for operating a radio station at 87.9-FM in the Bronx without a license. That means Deroux isn't paying his $10,000 fine, and the FCC slowly stepping up their efforts to get him to pay.
We go through selected posts on the FRN and Alt Radio pirate, as well as note stations logged per the FRN.
Off Air recordings include the stations; WDDR, United Patriot Militia Bingo, Radio Free Euphoria, Kracker radio, and submitted by Eric- TIER.

Two Pirates in the news this week. 20-year-old Majorie Voltaire was arrested Thursday night at the request of the Federal Communications Commission for making an unauthorized transmission of a radio broadcast - a third-degree felony. Also John Peel last program from Radio London circa 1967 will be aired on BBC6 Music Monday Oct. 23.
